    The CAP Cadet Program is designed to motivate and develop well-rounded young people, who in turn will become model citizens and the future leaders of our nation. CAP cadets progress at their own pace.
  • Aerospace Education
    CAP educational programs help prepare American citizens to meet the challenges of a sophisticated aerospace society and understand its related issues.
  • Emergency Services
    CAP is still best known for its search and rescue mission. Civil Air Patrol air and ground teams perform 85 percent of inland search-and-rescue missions.


  • 2012 Iowa Wing Conference


    The 2012 Iowa Wing Conference will be held October 12-14 at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa.

    This year the conference will feature a DDR activity on Friday night along with a general assembly and learning lab round table discussions on Saturday.  A banquet and awards presentation will round out Saturday with a commander's call Sunday morning.

    MARYLAND – Members of Civil Air Patrol’s Board of Governors, the organization’s policymaking body, presented the corporation’s new internal governance structure today to CAP members attending the 2012 Annual Conference and National Board in Baltimore.

  • AFA announces outstanding CAP cadets for '12


    VIRGINIA — The Air Force Association in Arlington recently announced the 2012 awards for outstanding cadets from Civil Air Patrol squadrons, ROTC detachments and Junior ROTC high school units nationwide. “Over a thousand students are rewarded for their exemplary leadership skills each year because of this program.”
